Testing #

Run syntax and integration checks:

node ./scripts/check.mjs
node --test --test-reporter=spec ./test/*.test.mjs

The deterministic tests cover:

  • initialization and model discovery;
  • thread creation/listing/read/rename and persistent state;
  • streamed assistant messages;
  • interruption of a live turn;
  • command approvals and output deltas;
  • file approvals and aggregate diffs;
  • explicit unknown-method errors;
  • WebSocket frame encode/decode;
  • the installed CLI version form;
  • a subprocess-level JSONL app-server turn.

Use OMP_CODEX_BACKEND=mock for protocol tests. A workstation integration pass should then repeat the turn/approval/interrupt cases with sdk and rpc backends, followed by a ChatGPT desktop SSH smoke test.
