# Testing

Run syntax and integration checks:

The deterministic tests cover:

- initialization and model discovery;
- thread creation/listing/read/rename and persistent state;
- streamed assistant messages;
- interruption of a live turn;
- command approvals and output deltas;
- file approvals and aggregate diffs;
- explicit unknown-method errors;
- WebSocket frame encode/decode;
- the installed CLI version form;
- a subprocess-level JSONL app-server turn.

Use `OMP_CODEX_BACKEND=mock` for protocol tests. A workstation integration pass should then repeat the turn/approval/interrupt cases with `sdk` and `rpc` backends, followed by a ChatGPT desktop SSH smoke test.
