+“Mon-yo” (文様, pronounced as “mohn-yoh”) is a Japanese word meaning “traditional pattern” or “decorative motif”. This design incorporates several elements of traditional Japanese culture:
+
+- Color: The base color is Ama-iro (天色), one of the traditional Japanese colors (Washoku / 和色). The name literally refers to the color of the sky.
+- Symbol: The “@” (at symbol) is stylized after Kikko-hanabishi (亀甲花菱), a mon-yo pattern that combines a hexagonal tortoise-shell motif with a floral diamond.
