2- find and remove code blocks guarded by never set CONFIG_FOO defines
3- convert any remaining unusual variable types
4- find codes that can use %pM and %Nph formatting
5- checkpatch.pl fixes - most of the remaining ones are lines too long. Many
6 of them will require refactoring
7- merge Realtek's bugfixes and new features into the driver
8- address any reviewers comments
