suggestion: issue and PR IDs should be synonynous #50

Every forge I'm aware of, the ID of issues and PRs should count from the same counter. Example:

  • I create an issue, this becomes #1
  • Another issue; this becomes #2
  • I create a PR; this becomes #3
  • I create another issue; this becomes #4

This helps with mentioning IDs in commits, and potential future feature of linking IDs to their relevant ticket.

aha makes a lot of sense; it didn't occur to me why there would be two counters until now. thanks for the report; should be easy to migrate to this.
