Code Editor implementation #

Native macOS ADE: projects and conversations on the left, file/search/source-control navigator on the right, splittable tab groups in the center, terminals below.

Milestones: workspace, native development surfaces, agent and permissions, connected services, validation.

Defaults: macOS 26+, Apple silicon, on-device Foundation Models, Ask for new projects, shared checkout. Settings may change the default for future projects. Plan mode permits verified reads only. Auto permits trusted local operations and ordinary remote writes, but destructive actions still require approval. Processes run as the current macOS user; permissions are not an OS sandbox.

Private Cloud Compute is conditional on macOS 27, Apple's managed entitlement, eligibility, and supported distribution. Developer ID builds must not claim PCC availability. No signing or service credentials are checked in.

ATProto uses an App Password and Keychain storage; Git transport uses SSH separately. Spindle, Marque, and Wisp dashboards are read-only. No matching Linear project was available at implementation start. MyContextProtocol's configured authenticated connection was unavailable.
