maybe puts bites (wafrn invented), pokes (atproto first), and explosions (new on wafrn/atproto!) into a new notifications tab, on by default. also enable (sub?)menu buttons (toggleable).

Bites and explodes work on both posts and profiles. Pokes are only supported on profiles.

Notifications server could add support for explode/bite/poke notifications as well! Idk what the default for that should be though just yet.

im a bit confused on what this implies, when we say "pokes" do we mean what sites like facebook had? couldnt this be abused to spam notifications to someone?

I've seen xyz.atpoke.feed.poke and xyz.atpoke.graph.poke records. I don't think these should ever actually trigger push notifications, but they should just load in when the user wants them to.
