auto-run npm install, clean up the nix code a bit
this allows users to run `nix develop` in addition to `nix-shell`, for
those that prefer to use flakes over the "old" syntax.
obviously requires you have `nix-command flakes` in your experimental
features.

ok so my house network only has ipv4. so no i cant fix this
