I keep getting "failed to resolve handle" when I try to sign in. I think it's because my handle ends in .neocities.org, but I'm not sure.
Login error (.neocities.org handle) #1
Good to know you're working on it! When I use my DID, the site gives me "Please provide a valid handle or DID.". It might be for the same reason? I've been testing this on another account as well, which also uses a Neocities/.well_known handle.
aha another bug, this one is completely on me :P
so apparently when you enter a did and click on the login button you get "Please provide a valid handle or DID." but if you enter your did and then press the enter key it works ^^
Thank you! I didn't realize using the enter button works even when the initial lookup failed. (I submitted this same/similar bug on Roomy.)
May I also ask why it wants permission to create Bluesky posts for me? Is it something I can avoid when using it? Similarly why it would like to create/update/delete events and statuses? (Maybe I misunderstand what blento is for.)
yeah thats another todo (only to request those permissions once you actually use them), currently:
- bluesky post gets (optionally) created when you use the guestbook card (like the one at the bottom of the main page)
- events/rsvps can also be added from within blento (using the event card + there's events subpages, e.g. here's atmosphere conf)
- same for statusphere records (the emoji card)
as long as you don't use these cards none of these records are created
roomy actually uses the same (currently a bit broken) ui package hence the same bug :P
Awesome thank you, knowing what the permission is for puts me at ease!
As for Roomy, I meant I tried to report the bug in blento's Roomy space https://roomy.space/blento.app , but it's good to know that Roomy also has that issue (I guess I happened to press Enter that time, heh) (Edit: Roomy somehow doesn't have the bug now, I can click the button and it works)
yeah, thats because your handle uses
.well_knownbut that is blocked in the browser (CORS ^^), i'm working on a new login flow that should hopefully fix that (but will take a while) in the meanwhile if you wanna sign in you can use your did (did:plc:2anjl7gjjtowshm2cunesguk) instead of your handle
