# Local development

> Run the whole Tangled stack locally with localinfra/pc.

`localinfra/pc` runs a local copy of the whole network as plain processes under [process-compose](https://github.com/F1bonacc1/process-compose): a PLC directory, two PDSes, a knot, hydrant, bobbin, knotmirror, deliberi, spindle and the web app, all behind Caddy on fake public hostnames under `*.tngl.boltless.dev`. Start it with `nix run .#localinfra`, and stop it with `bin/pc down`. Services run what is already built, so build your change and restart that service, for example `bin/pc process restart knot2`. Optional services such as the real spindle engine and observability run under profiles. `localinfra/pc/README.md` has the full reference.
