Deephack's Hyperland config based on omarchy-nix from Henry Sipp and in turn of course inspired by Omarchy.

Will this try to stay in line with the official Omarchy? #2

I discovered this project through an issue on https://github.com/henrysipp/omarchy-nix. Is the intent of this project to stay in line with the official Omarchy release or will have some form deviation, and in what way would you plan on deviating if so?

Thanks for the interest.

Starting point was to fork omarchy-nix so I copied Omarchy only as much as that project did. That was based on an earlier version of Omarchy and even then had diverged somewhat.

My statement of intent would be that I'm inspired by Omarchy and will copy features that I think are cool. Otherwise this project is mostly driven by my personal preferences when it comes to hyprland and associated software. That said I would like to continue to improve on the configurability so that other people can be accommodated as much as possible. With that in mind I'm very happy to accept issues for missing features and PRs.

Currently quite interested in implementing the following. Some are my own ideas and some come from Omarchy.

  • Pointer idle vanishing (Like when watching videos)
  • Speech to text (Omarchy has this)
  • Tmux integration

Check out my repo nixos-config if you want to see how I'm launching hyprland also. I have sysc-greet launching hyprland with uwsm.
